If you are playing through Enigmatica 6 Expert or any Minecraft Modpack that uses the mod Atum 2, you are probably wondering how to find Nebu Ore.
When I started working my way through Atum, I was just as confused as you, and it seemed impossible to find anything online. The Wiki lacked solid information, so to help others find Nebu Ore, I created this quick and short guide.
Note that the easiest and first method, using the Scanner, only works if you play a mod pack with it installed. Luckily Enigmatica 6 Expert does have it, so if you are working through that mod pack, here is how to use it.
Using Scannable’s Scanner
By far, the easiest way to find Nebu Ore is to use the mod Scannable’s scanner tool. What this tool does is allow you to search for ores in a small radius around you. If it finds any ores you are searching for, it lights them up so you can see them through other blocks.
To find Nebu ore in Atum 2, you will need to install the Scanner Module: Rare Ores into your scanner. Due to Enigmatica 6 Expert changing recipes, be sure to check JEI (if installed) for the recipe.
But how do you install the module? I hear you asking. Don’t worry; I was super confused when I created the scanner too. To access the scanner’s GUI, you need to SHIFT + RMB to open it. Then, just plop the scanner module in the top row, and you are ready to go!
Mining and Praying
If you have the misfortune of not having scannable in your mod pack with Atum 2, then you are stuck trying to find it naturally by mining.
The problem with that is it can spawn essentially anywhere and most commonly only has one to three blocks in the ore chunk. This makes it almost impossible to find it naturally mining, but I have a few tips.
First, mine close to the surface. Most of the Nebu I find with Scannable’s scanner is less than 10 blocks below the surface.
Second, strip mining will be your best friend. Stay within 2 blocks of each branch from the main mine. Otherwise, you stand a high chance of missing the ore.
Finally, prepare to spend hours finding enough Nebu ore for whatever you need it for. It’s rare and next to impossible to find without some type of aid.
Looting Chests
The final way of finding Nebu ore is by exploring the deserts of Atum and looting all the chests you come across. If you are lucky, the chest will have several Nebu drops inside, and then you can combine nine Nebu drops to create one Nebu ingot.
While it is incredibly inefficient, it can get you a few ingots as you explore everything the sandy lands of Atum have to offer.
